RealPCR PEDV/PDCoV Multiplex RNA Mix
The IDEXX RealPCR PEDV/PDCoV RNA Mix is used for simultaneous (multiplexed) the identification of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus and porcine deltacoronavirus RNA using the IDEXX RealPCR platform. Samples can be tested simultaneously with any other IDEXX RealPCR reagents using shared reagents and a single real-time PCR program.

Swine Enteric Coronaviruses
Severe outbreaks of enteric coronaviruses, characterized by acute and rapidly spreading diarrhea, are threatening swine operations worldwide. In the U.S. alone, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) has caused losses of more than 8 million pigs. The clinical presentation of PEDV is indistinguishable from that of transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV), two other swine enteric coronaviruses of great concern.
